Super Eagles chief scout officer Victor Agali has revealed that Coach Gernot Rohr will name few new players in his 35-man provisional squad list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Agali hinted that the coach wants to give every worthy player the opportunity to fight for a berth in the final 23-man squad list for the impending Mundial.
“He (Rohr) tries his best to carry everybody along, and gives players equal opportunity to be selected and listens to all is scouting and technical team,” Agali told AOIFootball.
“I know Gernot Rohr is fair to all and is committed to developing the image of our football. He will decide on that.”
“I can’t comment on if he will stick with the ones he has tested and know or not, but may be one or two new faces, just maybe.”
“I strongly believe we should scout more and know more of about opponents,” Agali concluded.
Although, the deadline set by FIFA for the release of the provisional team list is May 14, Rohr is likely to name the squad members earlier in May as he will look to monitor each player when while the team warms up for their international friendly against DR Congo, scheduled for May 25.
