Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has declared that the team is fully prepared for the showdown against Croatia on Saturday, June 16 at the Kaliningard Stadium.
The 64-year-old Franco-German stated that the starting lineup for their World Cup opening fixture against the Blazers has already been selected, but will be announced only moments to the game.
“Now the team is ready. We are physically ready. We have two training sessions today (Wednesday) and we will see the players again,” Rohr said during his interaction with the media in Essentuki.
“We have a full week in Russia and the players showed good commitment. Technically and tactically we have three days to work on some things.
“We have our team in our heart already but we will wait till the final moment before we give it out,” Rohr added.
The three-time African champions will hope to start the tourney on a good note as they take on the Blazers by 8:00pm on Saturday.
