Neymar subbed off with groin injury against Bordeaux

Neymar was substituted off in Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Bordeaux on Sunday after suffering an injury.

The Brazilian attacker, who opened the scoring before Jimmy Briand equalised in the second half, pulled up with apparent groin trouble and had to go off after 57 minutes.

Neymar walked straight down the tunnel to receive treatment after being replaced by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

The 26-year-old’s injury did not seem serious but coach Thomas Tuchel will be concerned about his star, who limped off of a recent friendly with Brazil and missed last week’s win over Toulouse.

“I think it’s the same injury, but I haven’t seen yet,” Tuchel told Canal+ after the match.

“We have to be careful, He said (before the game) it was not a problem playing today. Hopefully, we will have him back after the Strasbourg game.”
