Ligue 1 side Angers SCO are interested in signing retired Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama ahead of the January transfer window.
The struggling Angers need Enyeama’s services to reinforce their goalkeeping options after confirming the team’s second choice goalkeeper Mathieu Michel will return to former club Nimes Olympique in January.
Enyeama, who dropped in the pecking order of keepers at Lille after spending seven months in the treatment room due to a knee injury, currently gets game time at the French side’s U-18s in a French fourth-tier division.
Reports from French publication Sportune has it that Angers will have to make a bid of between €500,000 and €1m to make the swoop for the Nigerian.
Should Enyeama join the club, it will brighten his chances of a possible recall from retirement to make the Super Eagles’ World Cup squad to Russia 2018.
Angers are currently 19th in Ligue 1, with 18 points from 19 games.
