Karius taking legal action against loan club Besiktas over unpaid wages

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is taking legal action against loan club Besiktas over unpaid wages and has taken that fight to FIFA, reportedly.

The 25-year-old has been in Turkey since August 2018.

It is understood that Karius is claiming back payments of four months wages worth more than a million Euros. The assistance of world football’s governing body has been sought in an effort to bring the matter to a close.

First contact was made with FIFA on February 20. That letter made authorities aware of the situation and the need for a swift resolution to be found.
