Arsenal’s Lacazette out for up to six weeks with knee injury

Premier League club Arsenal have confirmed that striker Alexandre Lacazette will be out of action for up to six weeks with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old forward underwent surgery on Tuesday and is now expected to be out of action for at least a month as he recovers.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Striker Alex Lacazette had an arthroscopy on his left knee in London on Tuesday morning.”

“The minor procedure was a success and he will now undergo a period of rehabilitation.”

It is envisaged that he will return to the squad within four to six weeks.”
