Crystal Palace new manager Roy Hodgson arrived for training on Wednesday morning for his first day in charge of the Premier League club after Frank de Boer’s sack.

De Boer was sacked by the Eagles on Monday after 77 days at the helm.

The 70-year-old has signed a two-year deal and has the task of reigniting Palace’s poor league start after suffering four defeats in their opening four games, all without scoring a goal.

It is Hodgson’s first job since stepping down as England boss after they were knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland.
