Norwich City are close to signing Nigerian right back Tyronne Ebuehi, according to reports.
His contract is up at Dutch club Ado Den Haag in the summer, although he has had a contract extension offer from his current club.
The Canaries are currently 12th in the English Championship, but still hope to get into the Sky Bet Championship play-offs in the second half of the season, and feel a player of Ebuehi’s stature can lift them.
Ebuehi was in the stands at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening when Norwich forced Chelsea to a replay after drawing 0-0 with them in FA Cup third round.
The 22-year-old defender has already been capped by Super Eagles, getting his debut earlier in the year in their 3-0 friendly win over Togo, and is highly rated in the Eredivisie.
