Angolan football club Sagrada Esperanca have made public the death of Ntaku Zibakaka, who passed away on Sunday during a training session.

The 23-year-old left-back was reported to have taken ill during training at his club’s pre-season camp in Benguela on Sunday and was taken to a clinic where he arrived already dead.

“With a painful heart the club would sadly inform the public, fans, and other members about the sudden death of our player Ntaku Zibakaka,” read a statement from the club.

“With a great honour to our departed star and in grief we convey our deepest sympathy to his family as they try to come to terms with their loss.”
