Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi is reportedly courting interest from English Championship team Birmingham City.

Birmingham City are set to make a swoop for the Nigerian international in the January transfer window, as they look to take advantage of the player’s contract status at Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.

Abdullahi is already in the final year of his contract with the Cypriot side, and is said to be worth up to £500,000.

The team’s manager Steve Cotterill recently admitted that Blues would not be paying huge sums for players in January after spending so much in the summer transfer market under former manager Harry Redknapp.
